The December 2009 Daring Bakers’ challenge was brought to you by Anna of Very Small Anna and Y of Lemonpi. They chose to challenge Daring Bakers’ everywhere to bake and assemble a gingerbread house from scratch. They chose recipes from Good Housekeeping and from The Great Scandinavian Baking Book as the challenge recipes.

nuria and i made the good housekeeping recipe.

ReplyDeleteWow! What a large and beautiful creation! I used Anna's recipe, too and was a little short on dough. Was this a double batch?
ReplyDelete@ E. Lee, no i actually had ALOT leftover! i was kicking myself for not halving this recipe! it took me about an hour to fully knead and incorporate the dough and i didn't even use it all! i'm freezing the rest for maybe another venture into gingerbread building..
