.: Patterson Park Restaurant - Three :.

oh but what a busy, stressful weekend. if i wasn't in nova/dc, i was jetting back to baltimore. saturday started early for me due to my battle with Mighty Mouse. i hired a professional and said professional will be exterminating the hell out of my unit and i hope ix-nays the damn thing before it spawns. had a spot of lunch at Nick's Fish House, which now that i think about, i haven't done a review on their stuff yet and i've been about half a dozen times already this summer. my bad.

anyway, jab's cousin and gf were in town for the holiday weekend. we took them out to dinner at a neighborhood restaurant. Three is within walking distance of jab's house. it was a nice stroll. i'd been wanting to check out the place for quite some time, i think it opened last summer. the one time we walked in that direction, the place wasn't open yet so we hit a mexican festival instead. i was annoyed. this time around, my disposition was much more favorable, despite my fatigue.

initially we wanted to sit outside but there was a random dude just standing on the corner of linwood and baltimore, and there was a hooker across the street. plus, it was warm and the decor inside was just too lovely. we started off with cocktails and i have a new love: Moscato d'Asti. it's sweet like riesling; i actually had two glasses of the stuff. the menu is actually kinda sparse. not that much to choose from, which is a good thing because sometimes if there are too many items, i get confused or frustrated because i can't order it all. (a menu that has entirely too much: the Cheesecake Factory. don't get me started on a rant.)

it was all appetizer sized portions (altho there was an entrée page). my three (haha, get it?) companions were hung over and i wasn't starving so we ordered a few things to share:

Mediterranean olives plate

field green salad, topped with goat cheese homemade croutons and sunflower seeds.

meatballs ... that's all i remember about it ...

Zucchini balls ... i'm sure there's a proper name for it but i can't recall what it is ... it was my fave item.

pork ribs with garlic chips ...

mousse: chocolate and peanut butter ... very rich and thick ... i liked the idea of it but i barely put a dent in it.

the staff was super nice, our waiter David was way chill.

way cool tattoo on his forearm ...

i'll definitely head back to Three, i'd love to see what they serve in the autumn. i dug it.
